Welcome to Westwood!

Developed in the 1920s by the Janss Company in the area that soon surrounded the new campus of UCLA, Westwood has matured into what feels like a city unto itself. It offers an exciting mix of residential options, from detail-filled historic homes to high-rise full-service luxury condos along the Wilshire Corridor, and has wonderful parks and schools. Our founder Tamar Asken grew up in Westwood and her family still lives there!

Westwood Village features the beautiful old Bruin and Fox movie theaters, the Hammer Museum, the Geffen Playhouse, wonderful restaurants, historic architecture, shops, and grocery stores, plus a farmers’ market every Thursday afternoon. Walk up to the lovely UCLA campus with its famous sculpture garden, top-tier athletic events, and world-class medical facilities, or head down Westwood Blvd for the best Persian ice cream in town.

Just off the 405, Westwood residents can easily commute to other parts of town, and once the Metro purple line extension is completed, they can leave the car and hop on a train to Century City or Downtown LA. Some of my favorite spots are Violette Bisto, Plateia restaurant, Espresso Profeta, Diddy Riese cookies, and Saffron + Rose Ice Cream. Located halfway between downtown and the beach, Westwood is truly an ideal place to live.
